RED HOOK INTERNATIONAL FILM AND VIDEO FESTIVAL
RED HOOK INTERNATIONAL FILM AND VIDEO FESTIVAL

We are pleased to announce the Opening Call For Submissions to the
6th Annual Red Hook International Film And Video Festival.

This is an exciting opportunity for the International Community to participate in a NYC venue
to gain international exposure for your Film, Video, and Animations and make contacts within the NYC
area film and video arts community. This Festival is both a curated and juried film Festival for
independant and original imagery.

Call for entries!

In The Wake of Hurricane Sandy we wanted to give our film community a venue to
voice, to air, and to screen the images and films of work inspired by the trauma and
hardships our friends, neighbors and neighborhoods devastated by the storm. The
struggle to recover is often a long process and as part of healing our effected community
we need to voice, to remember, and celebrate the tenacious will to carry on and the courage
and effort in surviving and rebuilding after such a life event. And what better place to hold up
our heads high above the water line than the Red Hook Film Festival, to tell the tales and see
the films held at the Brooklyn Waterfront Artist Coalition's Screening Room.

It is to this effort that we seek submissions of Films, Documentaries, and Stories created in
the Wake of Hurricane Sandy to be Screened at the Red Hook Film Festival, 2013.

Festival Screening Dates: October 12-13th 2013

Special Thanks To The Brooklyn Waterfront Artist Coalition For Their Support.

The 2013 Chair and Festival Organizer is Daniel Durning.
Please contact us if you would like to get involved.
