We are looking for a lot of great films for the Red Hook Film
Festival,
There is
still time to enter your work! Our cut-off date for entries is
The festival is looking for short films in any genre including
Film, Video, and Animations and Experimental projects
with special categories for Young filmmakers and Brooklyn filmmakers.
Submission fees are currently $20, and the check should
be made out to "The Brooklyn Waterfront Arts Coalition."
- PayPal and Creditcards are accepted accepted as payment
for the Red Hook Film and Video Festival.

If you have a film you would like to submit to the festival,
please send 2 NTSC DVDs of the film, along with a brief synopsis
including running time and credits, to this address:

Also, please include your contact information with the synopsis.
Include a descriptive statement about your work
that is suitablefor publication (less
than 100 words).
Describe the
storyline, the work process and other
points of interest.
Clearly label it (in English) with your
name, e-mail
address and telephone number.
Include a brief synopsis
of your work, suitable for
the Festival program. Include 3 digital
still images
that represent your work as well as
a brief
caption (5-10 words) for the image.
This image may
be used for publications and pre-conference publicity.
It is not juried.
Digital still images must be submitted
in .jpg format at
1024x768 pixels @72 dpi with no compression
and
must be accessible on Mac or PC. Digital
stills and the
text files should be placed on a CD-ROM
and included
with your mailed submission
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Do not submit work in
any media format that is not specified on
- the Entry Form. Other formats will
not be reviewed by the jury.
- Do not submit the only original version
of any work, as we are
- not able to return the submitted materials.
- Please do not send your work in fiber
or pulp-padded mailers.
- If these mailers tear, the fibers can
damage a MiniDV tape and
- our playback equipment. Materials sent
in these mailers will not
- be reviewed. When in doubt, use bubble
wrap in a plain but sturdy envelope.
